Nital Gundechal is a Master of Landscape Architecture student at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and Research Assistant for Water Lab / Depave Chicago since 2023. Nital has been working on design prototypes for large tree buffers on public schools located adjacent to highways; this work is done in collaboration with Chicago Region Trees Initiative, US-EPA Region 5, Environmental Law & Policy Center, and US Forest Service, building from air quality research by Dr. Richard Baldauf and others. Nital has a Bachelor of Architecture from Sinhgad College of Architecture Pune, India and previously worked as a landscape designer for Green Space Alliance and Designterra Landscape Consultancy in Pune, India.
