Nital Gundecha, Landscape Designer

Nital Gundecha has been working with Depave Chicago since 2023. Nital contributes to design prototyping, research integration, and landscape performance analysis for depave projects for a variety of site types. She was key to the design development of a forest buffer project for public schools located adjacent to highways; this work is done in collaboration with Chicago Region Trees Initiative, US-EPA Region 5, Environmental Law & Policy Center, and US Forest Service, building from air quality research by Dr. Richard Baldauf and others. The first pilot project is in review and approvals with Illinois Department of Transportation. Nital earned her Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, her Bachelor of Architecture from Sinhgad College of Architecture Pune, India, and previously worked as a landscape designer for Green Space Alliance and Designterra Landscape Consultancy in Pune, India.
